    I wanna share your life Every minute, every day and night And I want you to know That whatever you do and wherever you go, remember Someone loves you, honey No matter what, just be my guy Someone loves you, honey More than anything in the world I'm so glad I'm the one That you come to when you need someone, yeah That's what my love is for It's a shoulder to lean on a boat in a storm, remember Someone loves you, honey, oh, yeah No matter what, I just want you to be my guy Someone loves you, honey More than anything in the world INSTRUMENTAL Someone loves you, honey (RAP PART) Someone loves you, honey No matter what, just be my guy Someone loves you, honey More than anything in the world Someone loves you, honey, oh, yeah No matter what, just be my guy

    Eddie Lovette

    Eddie Lovette (born Eddie Lovett, 1943 — April 29, 1998) was a Coconut Grove reggae musician. He recorded six albums, that all had a strong Caribbean influence.

    Lovette was born in the town of Cairo in the state of Georgia. He was the fourth of 10 children. When he was nine years old, he joined the Cairo Echo Jr’s gospel singing group. An alum of Miami High School, Lovette went on to earn a degree in psychology from the University of Miami. While pursuing his degree, Lovette was part of a singing group called “Eddie and The Tropics”.

    Lovette got a taste for fame when The Tropics performed at the Copacabana Supper club in Manhattan.

    In 1984, he was named the Top International Male Singer by the Canadian Reggae Music Awards. In 1969, his cover of Bob Andy’s “Too Experienced” ranked 95 on the U.S Billboard Hot 100. He died from lung cancer in 1998, at age 55.

    Most of his famous hits are classic favourites and still playing on our local airwaves today — Gypsy; Can’t you tell its me; All the love in the world; Try Again; Shining star; My Love;

    Imagination, just to name a few.
