      Medical Specialties

      The Department of Orthopedic Surgery is a medical specialty that treats the shapes and functions of musculoskeletal system

      (limbs, spine, and appendages) medically, surgically, and physically.

      About thirty medical staff provide medical treatment in sub-specialties such as cervical spine, lumber spine, knees, shoulders, and elbows diseases as well as bone cancer and hand disorder.

      We opened the Scoliosis Center in 2009 to collaborate with the departments of neurosurgery, neurology, rehabilitation medicine, and radiology and the Sports Health Medicine Center to offer objective and scientific treatment of scoliosis.

      Recently as various diagnosis and treatment methods of hip joints have been introduced, there are many people who miss the right time to treat or get the wrong treatment as they are exposed to inaccurate information and misunderstanding about their illness. But we continue our efforts to enhance patients’ quality of life by making an accurate diagnosis and using proven treatment methods while operating the Hip Joint Clinic.

      AMC also runs the Osteoporosis Clinic and the Lower Extremity Alignment Clinic at the Children’s Hospital to offer more specialized treatment to patients.
